Description
The Ulverston 2022 Calendar.
Located in south Cumbria, Ulverston is a beautiful market town on the Furness peninsula, dotted with old buildings, cobbled streets, ginnel’s, pubs and a whole range of independent, local shops.
It’s home to over 17,500 people and is the start of the Cumbrian Way.
Donations to helping local community groups.
The sale of my Ulverston 2021 enabled me to donate £250 to the “Ulverston Resilience Group” and also £250 to the Ulverston Food Waste Project
The group was set up as a temporary group for help in the Ulverston Community during the Coronavirus outbreak and is completely run by volunteers.
The aim is that anyone who is self-isolating or unwell can contact non-isolated members of the community should they need help with day to day tasked in the coming weeks, that could be shopping, post, or many other things. Ulverston Self Isolation Facebook Group
The Ulverston Food Waste Project
The Ulverston Food Waste Project was formed in 2019 with the aim of reducing the amount of food being sent to landfill and redistributing it within our local area.
This community group is again run by volunteers who collect donated food from local shops including Booths, Co-op, M&S, Asda, Sainsbury’s and also through the food share network.
The donation from the sale of my calendar will help the group with the running costs. Ulverston Food Waste Project on Facebook
For the 2022 Calendar, I’m aiming to raise another £500 for a local charity.
